From a book on transcendental meditation that I wrote when I was 17 (having never actually practiced TM...) to my most recent book on PR (which I've practiced for years), I've written content for a variety of clients and organizations. 

I wrote my first book, which was published by Self-Counsel Press when I was 21. It was about motivating employees and has been released in a number of editions since it was initially published. What in the world did I know about motivating employees back then? Funny thing is that, when I look back at that book, I think the advice is still pretty sound.

From freelance writing, I moved into the world of copywriting, a field of writing that taught me the importance of thoroughly understanding a target audience. My education in Psychology and Social Work certainly helped me with that. From copywriting, I moved into advertising and public relations serving as the director of corporate communications/marketing in the energy and healthcare industries before starting my own content marketing firm, Strategic Communications, in 2008. 

Over the years I've focused on producing high-quality, personalized content to inform, motivate and engage various audiences. This, coupled with expertise in online marketing, SEO and social media, has positioned me well for taking on a variety of projects from business articles to online content, whitepapers and ghostwritten book-length manuscripts.
